Three landmark projects that shaped Iraq's infrastructure — in telecom, oil & gas, and clean energy.
From Baghdad's urban LTE grid to the oil fields of Amara — each project tells a story of precision delivery.
210+ base stations across Baghdad and southern Iraq. Nokia-certified delivery. 30% coverage uplift.
Civil infrastructure for CNPC's flagship Iraq oil development project in Amara.
Patented vertical-axis solar towers. 90% less land. Zero-emission power for remote sites.
"TAC delivered one of Iraq's largest single-operator LTE rollouts — on time, to spec, across some of the country's most challenging terrain."
As a Nokia Network Services Delivery (NSD) certified partner, TAC managed the end-to-end deployment of Zain Iraq's 4G LTE expansion across Baghdad Governorate and key southern cities. The project spanned multi-vendor integration, civil foundation works, Nokia radio unit installation, microwave backhaul commissioning, and end-to-end drive testing validation.
TAC's local expertise enabled site acquisition, landlord negotiations, and municipal permitting to proceed in parallel — a critical advantage in Iraq's regulatory environment. The project delivered a measurable 30% improvement in Zain's population coverage metric across the deployment zones.
"Delivering critical civil infrastructure at one of Iraq's most strategically important oil fields — a testament to TAC's heavy engineering capability."
In 2011, TAC secured a landmark civil engineering contract at the Halfaya Oil Field in Amara Governorate — operated by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) as part of Iraq's post-2003 oil sector reconstruction. The project encompassed civil foundation works, access road construction, equipment shelter installation, and site preparation for upstream oil infrastructure.
Working within CNPC's strict HSE framework and international engineering standards, TAC mobilised local teams capable of operating in the remote conditions of southern Iraq's marshland territory. The project established TAC's credentials in the oil & gas sector and opened the door to subsequent infrastructure contracts.
"Iraq's flat terrain and abundant sun make it ideal for solar towers — and TAC is the exclusive deployment partner bringing this patented technology to market."
TAC has partnered with ThreeSixty Solar (USA) to introduce patented vertical-axis solar tower technology to Iraq and the broader Middle East region. Unlike conventional flat-panel ground-mount arrays, solar towers use only 10% of the land area while generating power from all sun angles simultaneously — a critical advantage for Iraqi operators seeking to deploy clean energy at telecom towers and remote industrial sites.
ThreeSixty Solar holds over 260 granted patents globally and has pioneered the solar tower concept that TAC now deploys across Iraq. The technology is supplied through TAC's partnership with Fellow Energy Group — a Fortune 500 company (Turkey) with ¥7 billion in annual revenue and Bloomberg Tier 1 PV supplier status for 8 consecutive years.
